About the Game
Parta Ola is a spinning top game from Greece, traditionally played around the Christmas and New Year Holidays. Though Parta Ola is traditionally a holiday game, it's also great for parties and get togethers, and fun for the whole family. Best of all, you can play anywhere anytime, since the little finger-spun tops will fit right in your pocket.
While the origin of the game is unknown, it became a popular pastime in the early twentieth century, earning the disapproval of many anti-gambling advocates, as evidenced in an October 12, 1920 New York Times article!
